Sunset Shed
Mom's new neighbor put up a shed blocking her view. We thought we'd spray paint a little smile on it.
Just for grins.
What a fun Thanksgiving.

Judgment Day
If God created the world in six days
and rested on the seventh, how long
will Judgment Day last?
And, if on that day, sunrise starts in
your back yard, it could be over for you
well before breakfast.

Untitled: to a Robyn

Untitled: to a Robyn
One morning I woke up in Wisconsin
and you were in New York and
the possibility of our
ever meeting again was
on the endangered species list
(going the way of
dodo birds and dinosaurs,
in the direction of
whooping cranes and whales,
becoming a possibility extinct)
I called the D.N.R.,
the High Sierra Club of the Heart,
the Audobon Society of Finer Feelings
and then I called you
and you had seen it, too
(perhaps the last existing opportunity)
flying wild and free
in a refuge between us

The New Day
The New Day
The light comes
softly across the body
waking it slowly, gently.
Suddenly the ego is alert
and proclaims a new day.
A speech, a parade,
a doctoral honorarium
the ego knows it has
come into its own.
All this fuss
is just for us
and a bright future
assured
for Me Me Me
The light
and the body
know
other
wise.

you wonder
if you won't
some day be
in to a can
with your spoon
well in hand ...
you stand in a field ...
the wind blows ...
thee oats are
sowing you ...
isn't that wild?

Frog Prince
Some there are princes
and some there are frogs
yet to be a prince
is to sit on a log
is to know you're not far
from being a frog

Pat and I had a booth at the foreign language convention for 15 years. Left four years ago. Work, but fun.
Great to pop in and visit today. Sweet sad. We did recon for a revival of adventures. Got good intel and there's ink on the drawing board again.
And then off to the Oshkosh Outlet Mall. Not a place we shop. BUT! ... We both got new bags at Wilsons Leather. Corning/Corell (sp?) a dangerous kitchen supplier - and Harry and David is so cool and ...
well .... a lovely day for a ride up Highway 45.
